Every year search engine algorithms are getting complex and smarter. So, in order for us to rank higher in search engines we need to stay on top of the latest tips and tricks of the trade. Below I am going to discuss few of the SEO Tips that I think are important in 2012.
1) Domain Name
- Buy an old domain name instead of a new one because old domain names tend to perform better in search engines as compared to new ones in terms of search rankings.
- Get exact match keyword domain if you can, you will be rewarded in search engines for that particular keyword without doing much work on your part.
- Register your domain name for a length of atleast 5 years at a time, as it differentiates you from a spammer thus in return increases trust in the eyes of search engines.

- Unique Title and Description: I would say unique title is one of the most important seo tip for 2012. For example, if you search for seo tips 2012 or link building strategies 2012 you will see my site rank in top 5 search results for those particular keywords just because I have those exact keywords in the title of my post. Honestly I have not even done any link building or any other form of SEO to make them rank. Apart from unique titles, unique description plays a good amount of role in getting clicks as it describes the content of the page that visitor is about to visit.
